PSARA Assists with Anthrax Decontamination at the U.S. Capitol

PSARA was mobilized on November 18, 2001, to help investigate and decontaminate the Hart Senate Office Building and other Capitol offices suspected of anthrax contamination. PSARA provided technical support to the USEPA, the FBI, and other government agencies under a federal emergency response contract. PSARA personnel worked 12-hour shifts around the clock to decontaminate the Hart Building and to assist investigators in other Washington office buildings.
